One TXT record (exactly one) enumerates your legitimate sources — hosting mail, newsletter platform, CRM — via include mechanisms, ending in a policy marker (~all softfail, -all hardfail).

Why must there be only one SPF record?
The standard says so — two SPF records don't merge, they invalidate each other, and receivers treat the domain as having broken SPF. New services get added into the existing record, never as a sibling.
What do ~all and -all mean at the end?
The failure policy: ~all suggests softfail (mark suspicious), -all asserts hardfail (reject). Start soft while auditing your senders; harden once DKIM and DMARC monitoring confirm the list is complete.
