Mail Protection

Junk and malware never make it to your inbox

Incoming mail passes through two layers of scanning, everything outgoing routes through MailChannels, and SPF, DKIM and DMARC keep your domain's reputation solid — all included with your hosting.

The Payoff

A tidier inbox and mail that actually arrives

Defense for incoming mail and reputation care for outgoing mail, working as a team on every mailbox you own.

Email inbox shielded by spam and virus scanning

Junk mail turned away at the gate

Every message is graded on sender reputation, wording and behavior patterns, so anything suspicious sits in quarantine long before it shows up in your inbox.

Attachments checked for malware

Files and payloads riding along with incoming mail are checked against current threat signatures, so infected attachments and phishing links get stopped before they land.

Outbound mail via MailChannels

Everything you send goes out through MailChannels, which protects the shared sending reputation so your real messages don't get lost in spam folders.

Built-in sender authentication

We configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC records for your domain, giving receiving servers proof your mail is genuine and shutting the door on spoofers.

Threat data refreshed constantly

Rule sets and signature databases update around the clock, so newly launched spam runs get caught automatically — no action needed from you.

No impact on site speed

All the scanning takes place at the mail gateway rather than on your website, so your pages and control panel stay just as fast.

Coming In

Spam and malware caught before they reach your inbox

Nothing reaches your inbox unchecked. Each message is evaluated for sender reputation, content and attachment safety, and anything resembling spam, malware or a phishing attempt gets held in quarantine instead — keeping your inbox reserved for mail that actually matters.

  • Scored on reputation and content
  • Real-time virus and malware checks
  • Detects phishing and spoofed senders
  • Questionable mail held for review

Going Out

MailChannels gets your outgoing mail delivered

Mail sent from a shared server only helps if it lands where it's supposed to. Your outgoing messages travel through MailChannels, a relay built specifically to protect sending reputation — so things like invoices, password resets and newsletters end up in the inbox rather than the spam folder.

  • A relay built just for sending
  • Sending reputation stays protected
  • Fewer messages marked as spam
  • Delivery you can count on

Trust & Delivery

Verified mail that inbox providers can trust

Getting mail delivered is really about earning trust. We configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC on your domain and align your reverse DNS, giving receiving mail servers solid proof that your messages are legitimate. That means better inbox placement right away and a sending reputation that only gets stronger.

  • SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up for you
  • Reverse DNS properly aligned
  • Domain spoofing shut down
  • Sender trust that builds over time

Threats Stopped

What never makes it through

Phishing attempts and malware blocked before reaching an inbox

Junk and mass mailings

Unwanted newsletters, scams and bulk blasts get scored and routed to quarantine instead of landing in your inbox.

Phishing and impersonation

Senders pretending to be someone else and links designed to steal logins get flagged before your team ever sees them.

Malware-laden attachments

Risky file types and recognized malware are removed right at the gateway, keeping infections off your devices.

FAQ

Common questions about mail filtering

Does hosting come with mail filtering included?

Yes — inbound spam and virus scanning along with MailChannels outbound delivery are already active on any mailbox hosted with us, at no added charge. There's nothing extra to purchase and nothing separate to set up.

What does MailChannels actually do?

MailChannels is a purpose-built relay for outgoing mail. Routing your messages through it protects the sending IP's reputation, which makes it much less likely that other mail providers will flag your legitimate emails as spam.

Could a real email get flagged by mistake?

Occasionally, yes — that's exactly why anything suspicious is quarantined instead of deleted outright. You're able to check held messages and release any that were flagged incorrectly, and the filter adjusts based on the choices you make.

What do SPF, DKIM and DMARC actually protect?

These three records confirm that mail sent under your domain name genuinely came from you. Having all three configured stops spammers from impersonating your address and helps inbox providers trust — and deliver — your messages.

Does any of this slow down my site or my mail?

No. All scanning happens at the mail gateway, entirely separate from your website, so your pages and control panel run at normal speed and messages still deliver quickly.

Do I need to change how I check email?

Not at all. Filtering runs quietly in the background, so you can keep using webmail, Outlook, Apple Mail or any IMAP or POP client exactly like you do now.
