1. What a cookie is, exactly

A cookie is no more than a small text file your browser keeps after you visit a site. It is the mechanism by which a site remembers what you picked the last time you were here. What follows is a rundown of precisely which cookies HostingAlly (hostingally.com) sets, along with the reason for each.

2. Cookies this site does set

Things are kept lean here. This marketing site depends on only these:

• Currency display (essential): a lightweight cookie (ha_ccy) remembers which currency we display to you, taken from your location or chosen by hand in the currency switcher. Behind the scenes every transaction still settles in USD. This cookie governs nothing except what shows on the page.
• Consent choice (essential): a cookie (ha_cookie_consent) stores which categories you consented to, which keeps us from asking again on every visit and lets us honour what you decided.
• Security & uptime (essential): the platform that hosts our site may set additional cookies of its own, purely so that pages carry on loading securely and without interruption.
• Analytics and advertising: none at present. No measurement tag and no advertising tag is configured on this deployment, so nothing in those categories loads even where you have allowed them. Should that change, the tag turns up in the next section on the very day it goes live, because this page reads the configuration of the site itself and therefore cannot quietly fall behind.

What we measure is neither sold nor shared. This page once promised that our measurement was cookieless and that no advertising tracker existed here. True of the tooling we ran until August 2026, that statement no longer describes the site, so rather than leave it standing we have replaced the promise with the list set out below.

3. Third-party tags, taken one at a time

Nothing to list. No analytics tag and no advertising tag is configured on this deployment, so the section stands empty as a matter of fact rather than through omission. It is generated from the configuration of the site itself, and any tag switched on shows up here the moment that happens.

4. What goes on inside the billing portal

Our separate client and billing portal, which is hosted at billing.hostingally.com, runs on WHMCS and carries strictly necessary cookies of its own, among them the ones that hold your login session open. Without any of these, your account simply cannot function correctly.

5. How to change your answer or block cookies

Every page has a Cookie Settings link in the footer. Clicking it reopens the panel with your current answer already displayed, so a category you once accepted can be handed back by the same single click that granted it. Withdrawal halts any further storage and stops the identifiers going out. Anything already loaded into the page cannot be unloaded halfway through a visit, so clear the cookies too if you want it gone straight away.

Cookies can be cleared or blocked from your browser settings at any time you choose. Be aware, though, that blocking the essential ones can break certain features. The currency you picked, for example, may stop being remembered.
