1. What a cookie actually is

A cookie is nothing more than a small text file your browser holds onto after you visit a site. It's how a site keeps track of what you chose the last time you were here. Below is a rundown of exactly which cookies HostingAlly (hostingally.com) sets, and the purpose behind each one.

2. The cookies we actually set

We've kept things lean. This marketing site relies on just:

• Currency display (essential): a lightweight cookie (ha_ccy) holds onto which currency we show you, picked up from your location or set manually through the currency switcher. Every transaction still runs in USD behind the scenes — this cookie only controls what appears on the page.
• Consent choice (essential): a cookie (ha_cookie_consent) records which categories you agreed to, so we stop asking on every visit and so we can honour your decision.
• Security & uptime (essential): the platform hosting our site may drop cookies of its own to keep pages loading securely and without interruption.
• Analytics and advertising:none at present. No measurement or advertising tag is configured on this deployment, so nothing in those categories loads even if you allow them. If that changes, the tag appears in the next section on the same day it goes live — the page reads the site's own configuration, so it cannot quietly fall behind.

We don't sell or share what we measure. This page used to promise that our measurement was cookieless and that no advertising tracker existed here. That was true of the tooling we ran until August 2026 and is no longer the shape of the site, so the promise has been replaced with the list below rather than left standing.

3. The third-party tags, one by one

Nothing to list. No analytics or advertising tag is configured on this deployment, so this section is empty by fact rather than by omission — it is generated from the site's own configuration, and any tag that is switched on appears here the moment it is.

4. What happens in the billing portal

Our client and billing portal, hosted separately at billing.hostingally.com, runs on WHMCS and has its own strictly necessary cookies — for instance, ones that keep your login session active. These are required for your account to function properly.

5. Changing your mind, and turning cookies off

Every page has a Cookie Settings link in the footer. It reopens the panel with your current answer already showing, so a category you accepted can be handed back with the same single click that granted it. Withdrawing stops any further storage and drops the identifiers being sent. What is already loaded into the page cannot be unloaded halfway through a visit, so clear the cookies as well if you want it gone immediately.

Your browser settings let you clear or block cookies whenever you like. Just know that blocking the essential ones can break certain features — your chosen currency, for one, might stop being remembered.
