Why It's Safe
Handing your card to a company you've just met
A reasonable hesitation. Here is what actually protects you, rather than a promise that we're trustworthy.
Your card never touches our servers
Stripe collects and stores the card details directly. We only ever see a token and the last four digits, which keeps your data out of our systems entirely.
Cards from any country work
There's no country restriction on payment. If your Visa, Mastercard or Amex is enabled for international online purchases, it will work here.
A real company you can look up
Payments go to Bohzo Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 15031604. You can verify us at Companies House before you spend anything.
Renewals never change price
The rate you sign up at is the rate you renew at. No introductory pricing that jumps at the end of the first term.
Common Questions
Questions about paying
Which payment methods can I use?
Visa, Mastercard and American Express — credit or debit, issued in any country. Payments are processed by Stripe, one of the largest and most widely trusted payment processors in the world. We do not currently accept PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer or cryptocurrency, and we would rather say so plainly than let you reach checkout and find out there.
Do you accept PayPal?
Not yet. We know it matters, particularly for customers buying from a company they have not used before, and a second payment gateway is planned. Until it is genuinely live we will not list it here — advertising a payment method you cannot actually use at checkout is worse than admitting the gap.
What currency will I actually be charged in?
US dollars. The prices shown around the site convert into your local currency automatically so you can judge the cost at a glance, but that conversion is for display only — the amount that reaches your card is in USD. Your bank then applies its own exchange rate, and may add a foreign transaction fee of roughly 2 to 3 per cent, so the figure on your statement can differ slightly from the converted price you saw.
What will appear on my bank statement?
The charge comes from our billing entity, Bohzo Ltd, and may appear alongside our billing domain rather than the HostingAlly name. If a charge looks unfamiliar, check the amount and date against the invoice in your client area, or contact us and we will identify it for you straight away.
Is it safe to pay a hosting company I have not heard of?
It is a fair question to ask, and the honest answer is to verify rather than trust. Card details are collected by Stripe and never stored on our systems, so a breach of our servers could not expose them. The company taking the payment is Bohzo Ltd, registered in England and Wales under number 15031604, with a registered office you can look up on the public Companies House register. Every plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee, so if we do not deliver you are not stuck with us.
Can I pay monthly instead of a year up front?
Most shared, WordPress and WooCommerce plans are billed annually at present, which is how we keep the monthly-equivalent price as low as it is. We recognise that a year up front is a real barrier in some countries, and shorter billing terms are on our roadmap. VPS, reseller and dedicated plans already bill monthly.
How do refunds work?
Approved refunds go back to the card you paid with, in USD. Hosting carries a 30-day money-back guarantee and reseller plans carry 7 days. Domain registrations, renewals and transfers cannot be refunded, because the registry charges us the moment the domain is registered and that cost is not recoverable — see our refund policy for the full detail.
