1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Fairdeal Renovations Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15026869, registered office The Workspace Basildon, 7 High Pavement, Basildon, England, SS14 1EA. HostingAlly is a trading name of Fairdeal Renovations Limited.

For anything to do with your personal data, including any of the rights in section 7, email info@hostingally.comwith “Data protection” in the subject line.

We are established in the United Kingdom and sell to customers worldwide, so this policy is written to meet both the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR.

2. What we collect

• Account and billing details — your name, email address, billing address and the invoices raised against your account.
• Payment details — handled by Stripe. We receive a payment token and the last four digits of your card. We never see or store the full card number or the security code.
• Support correspondence — tickets, emails and anything you choose to include in them.
• Domain registrant details — the contact details a registry requires in order to register a domain in your name.
• Technical logs — IP addresses, request data and error logs generated as you use the platform.
• Your site's content — the files, databases and mailboxes you store on our hosting. We do not inspect these except where you ask us to for support, or where we must investigate a specific abuse or security report.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Data protection law requires a lawful basis for each purpose. Ours are set out in full below rather than summarised, so you can check them.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.

4. Cookies and analytics

We set a small number of necessary cookies that make the site work — remembering the currency your prices display in, and recording your cookie choice so we stop asking. These do not require consent.

Beyond that, nothing runs until you say so. No analytics or advertising tag is configured on this deployment at all, so nothing in those categories runs even for a visitor who accepts everything. You can change or withdraw that decision at any time through the cookie settings link in our footer, which reopens the banner with your current answers showing. Until August 2026 this section said our analytics was cookieless and that we carried no advertising trackers. That described tooling we have since replaced, so it has been rewritten to describe what the site actually loads rather than left to age quietly.

5. Who else processes your data

We keep the circle small. Each party below acts on our instructions under a contract, or as an independent controller where the nature of the service requires it — a domain registry, for example, holds registrant records in its own right.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

6. Transfers outside the UK and EEA

Some of the providers above are outside the UK and the European Economic Area, so your data may be transferred internationally. Where that happens, the transfer relies on an appropriate safeguard — either a UK adequacy decision for the destination country, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your hosting account and its data are stored in a London datacentre. Ask us at info@hostingally.com if you would like detail on the safeguard applying to a particular transfer.

7. Your rights

You have the following rights over your personal data. To use any of them, email info@hostingally.com. We will respond within one month, and we will not charge you for it.

• Access — Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
• Erasure — Ask us to delete your data, where we have no overriding obligation to keep it.
• Restriction — Ask us to pause processing while a dispute about accuracy or legitimacy is resolved.
• Portability — Receive the data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Objection — Object to processing we carry out under legitimate interests.
• Withdraw consent — Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

We may need to verify your identity before acting, to make sure we are not disclosing your data to someone else.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. If you are in the EU, you may complain to the supervisory authority in your own country. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first, but you are not obliged to come to us before going to a regulator.

8. How long we keep it

• Account and billing records — for as long as your account is open, then for six years after your last transaction, which is the period UK tax law requires.
• Support tickets — three years from closure, so we have the history if a related problem recurs.
• Server and access logs — typically 30 to 90 days, unless a log is retained longer as part of an active security or abuse investigation.
• Your hosted content — while your service is active, and in backups for a short period after cancellation, after which it is deleted along with the account.
• Marketing consent records — until you withdraw consent, plus a record of the withdrawal itself so we can honour it.

9. WHOIS privacy on domains

Registering a domain requires us to pass your contact details to the registry. Where the registry permits it, we enable free WHOIS privacy so your personal details stay off the public lookup. Some extensions — particularly country-code ones — do not allow this, and where that is the case your details may appear in a public record. Ask us before registering if that matters to you.

10. Children

Our services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we make a change that materially affects how we handle your data, we will tell you by email or in your client area before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Questions? Email info@hostingally.com.
