Why can I receive email but not send?
SMTP authentication — the outgoing server needs your credentials enabled in the client (the classic unchecked box), correct port (465/587 with SSL), and the full address as username. That trio is the fix in nearly every case.
Can I send bulk mail through my hosting's SMTP?
Small volumes, yes; campaigns, no — hosting SMTP has limits and shared reputation that bulk sending damages. Newsletters belong on ESP infrastructure; hosting SMTP is for correspondence and site notifications.
