Hosting by Country
Web hosting for Italy
What actually matters if you are buying from Italy: which local domains we can register, what your card is charged, how fast our servers are from where you are, the tax position, and the payment methods we cannot yet take.
The Six Things That Differ
Buying from Italy, specifically
Not a template with your country's name dropped in — these are the details that genuinely change depending on where you are.
Local domains
We don't sell your country's extension yet — but as an EU resident you can register .eu with us.
Prices in your currency
Shown in EUR, charged in USD. Your bank converts and may add a fee.
Speed from London
About 10–35 ms round trip. Genuinely fast. No practical disadvantage against a local host.
Support in your hours
CET/CEST — one hour ahead of our team. First reply target is under 2 hours, any hour, in English.

Specifically Italy
What's genuinely different here
Milan is around 25 ms from London and is Italy's main internet hub, so northern Italian visitors see good speed. Honest gap: we do not sell .it domains yet. As an EU resident you are eligible for .eu, which we do sell, and .com works everywhere.
Paying Us
Cards work. Here's what doesn't.
The gap between what we accept and how your country actually pays — stated before you reach checkout.
What we take
Visa, Mastercard and American Express — credit or debit, issued in Italy or anywhere else, as long as the card is enabled for international payments. Processed by Stripe, so your card details never reach our servers.
What we can't take yet
PostePay and bank transfer are common in Italy and we support neither. Italian Visa and Mastercard work normally.

Common Questions
Buying hosting from Italy
Can I buy hosting from Italy?
Yes. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express issued in Italy, and your account is set up automatically once payment goes through — there is no manual approval step and no requirement to be based in the UK. Prices display in EUR so you can judge the cost, and the charge itself reaches your card in USD.
How do most people in Italy prefer to pay, and can you take it?
Here is the honest answer rather than the flattering one. PostePay and bank transfer are common in Italy and we support neither. Italian Visa and Mastercard work normally. What we can always take is a card enabled for international payments. If that does not work for you, we would rather you knew before spending time choosing a plan.
Will my site be fast enough for visitors in Italy?
Our servers are in London, roughly 10–35 ms away from you. Genuinely fast. No practical disadvantage against a local host. For most sites the practical answer is that anonymous visitors reading cached pages will not notice the distance, because those pages can be served from an edge location near them. What you will notice is logged-in work — the WordPress admin, checkout, anything uncached — because that travels to London and back on every action. Our infrastructure page sets out exactly what a CDN fixes and what it cannot.
Do I pay tax on this order in Italy?
You are in the EU, so VAT may apply to your order. If it does, it is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay — never added afterwards. Buying as a VAT-registered business? Enter your VAT number and the reverse charge applies.
Do I need to be based in the UK to host with you?
No. We are a UK company — Bohzo Ltd, registered in England and Wales under number 15031604, which you can verify on the public Companies House register — but there is no residency or business-registration requirement to buy hosting from us. Customers in Italy order exactly as a UK customer does.
What if it turns out not to suit me?
Hosting plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee and reseller plans carry 7 days, so you can put a real site on the platform and measure the speed from your own audience rather than trusting our figures. If it does not work for you, take the refund. Domain registrations are the exception and cannot be refunded, because the registry charges us the moment a domain is registered.
