Web hosting for Ireland

What actually matters if you are buying from Ireland: which local domains we can register, what your card is charged, how fast our servers are from where you are, the tax position, and the payment methods we cannot yet take.

The Six Things That Differ

Buying from Ireland, specifically

Not a template with your country's name dropped in — these are the details that genuinely change depending on where you are.

Local domains

We don't sell your country's extension yet — but as an EU resident you can register .eu with us.

Prices in your currency

Shown in EUR, charged in USD. Your bank converts and may add a fee.

Speed from London

About 5–15 ms round trip. Indistinguishable from a server in the same city.

Support in your hours

GMT/IST — effectively our own working hours. First reply target is under 2 hours, any hour, in English.

Specifically Ireland

What's genuinely different here

Dublin is one of the closest cities in the world to our London servers — around 10 ms — so an Irish site runs about as fast here as it would on Irish hosting. Honest gap: we do not sell .ie domains yet. As an EU resident you are eligible for .eu, which we do sell, and .com remains the pragmatic choice.

Paying Us

Cards work. Here's what doesn't.

The gap between what we accept and how your country actually pays — stated before you reach checkout.

What we take

Visa, Mastercard and American Express — credit or debit, issued in Ireland or anywhere else, as long as the card is enabled for international payments. Processed by Stripe, so your card details never reach our servers.

What we can't take yet

Irish cards work normally. We do not yet take PayPal, which some Irish buyers prefer for a first purchase.

Common Questions

Buying hosting from Ireland

Can I buy hosting from Ireland?

Yes. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express issued in Ireland, and your account is set up automatically once payment goes through — there is no manual approval step and no requirement to be based in the UK. Prices display in EUR so you can judge the cost, and the charge itself reaches your card in USD.

How do most people in Ireland prefer to pay, and can you take it?

Here is the honest answer rather than the flattering one. Irish cards work normally. We do not yet take PayPal, which some Irish buyers prefer for a first purchase. What we can always take is a card enabled for international payments. If that does not work for you, we would rather you knew before spending time choosing a plan.

Will my site be fast enough for visitors in Ireland?

Our servers are in London, roughly 5–15 ms away from you. Indistinguishable from a server in the same city. For most sites the practical answer is that anonymous visitors reading cached pages will not notice the distance, because those pages can be served from an edge location near them. What you will notice is logged-in work — the WordPress admin, checkout, anything uncached — because that travels to London and back on every action. Our infrastructure page sets out exactly what a CDN fixes and what it cannot.

Do I pay tax on this order in Ireland?

You are in the EU, so VAT may apply to your order. If it does, it is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay — never added afterwards. Buying as a VAT-registered business? Enter your VAT number and the reverse charge applies.

Do I need to be based in the UK to host with you?

No. We are a UK company — Bohzo Ltd, registered in England and Wales under number 15031604, which you can verify on the public Companies House register — but there is no residency or business-registration requirement to buy hosting from us. Customers in Ireland order exactly as a UK customer does.

What if it turns out not to suit me?

Hosting plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee and reseller plans carry 7 days, so you can put a real site on the platform and measure the speed from your own audience rather than trusting our figures. If it does not work for you, take the refund. Domain registrations are the exception and cannot be refunded, because the registry charges us the moment a domain is registered.

Try it from Ireland, risk-free.
