What's genuinely different here
Frankfurt runs one of the best-connected internet exchanges anywhere on earth, and the hop from London to Frankfurt is roughly 15 ms, so German visitors pull pages off our origin quickly. We sell .de domains. Living in the EU also makes you eligible for .eu. One thing worth knowing: German buyers lean towards paying from a bank account rather than by card far more than most, and that is where our biggest gap in this market sits.

What we take
Credit or debit, we take Visa, Mastercard and American Express, issued in Germany or anywhere else, provided the card is cleared for international payments. Stripe runs the transaction, which keeps your card numbers off our servers entirely.
What we can't take yet
Huge numbers of Germans pay online by SEPA direct debit or through Sofort/Klarna, and neither is something we can accept yet. Cards go through fine. Want to pay from your bank instead? We are not there yet.

Can I buy hosting from Germany?
Yes. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express issued in Germany, and your account is set up automatically once payment goes through — there is no manual approval step and no requirement to be based in the UK. Prices display in EUR so you can judge the cost, and the charge itself reaches your card in USD.
How do most people in Germany prefer to pay, and can you take it?
Here is the honest answer rather than the flattering one. Huge numbers of Germans pay online by SEPA direct debit or through Sofort/Klarna, and neither is something we can accept yet. Cards go through fine. Want to pay from your bank instead? We are not there yet. What we can always take is a card enabled for international payments. If that does not work for you, we would rather you knew before spending time choosing a plan.
Will my site be fast enough for visitors in Germany?
Our servers are in London, roughly 10–35 ms away from you. Properly quick. Against a local host you lose nothing in practice. For most sites the practical answer is that anonymous visitors reading cached pages will not notice the distance, because those pages can be served from an edge location near them. What you will notice is logged-in work — the WordPress admin, checkout, anything uncached — because that travels to London and back on every action. Do I pay tax on this order in Germany?
VAT may apply to your order, since you are in the EU. Where it does, checkout works the amount out and shows it to you before you pay, rather than bolting it on afterwards. Buying as a VAT-registered business? Enter your VAT number and the reverse charge applies instead.
Must I be living in the UK to host a site with you?
No. We are a UK company — Fairdeal Renovations Limited, registered in England and Wales under number 15026869, which you can verify on the public Companies House register — but there is no residency or business-registration requirement to buy hosting from us. Customers in Germany order exactly as a UK customer does.
What if it turns out not to suit me?
Every hosting plan comes with 30 days to change your mind. Reseller plans give you 7 days. That window exists so you can push a live site onto the platform and time it against your own visitors, instead of taking our numbers on faith. Doesn't suit you? Claim your money back. Domains are the one thing we can't refund, since the registry bills us the second a name is registered.
