What's genuinely different here
About 10 ms separates Paris from London, one of the shortest international hops Europe has. You can register a .fr domain through us, though the extension needs a registrant based in the EU, which a French buyer satisfies and a US buyer does not. France carries a caveat of its own: a Cartes Bancaires card with no co-badge on it can get declined.

What we take

Prices display in EUR so you can judge the cost, and the charge itself reaches your card in USD.
How do most people in France prefer to pay, and can you take it?
Here is the honest answer rather than the flattering one. In France, the domestic Cartes Bancaires scheme usually rides on a Visa or Mastercard co-badge, and those pay us fine. Cards running CB alone may not. We have no PayPal yet either. What we can always take is a card enabled for international payments. If that does not work for you, we would rather you knew before spending time choosing a plan.
Will my site be fast enough for visitors in France?
Our servers are in London, roughly 10–35 ms away from you. Properly quick. Against a local host you lose nothing in practice. For most sites the practical answer is that anonymous visitors reading cached pages will not notice the distance, because those pages can be served from an edge location near them. What you will notice is logged-in work — the WordPress admin, checkout, anything uncached — because that travels to London and back on every action. Do I pay tax on this order in France?
VAT may apply to your order, since you are in the EU. Where it does, checkout works the amount out and shows it to you before you pay, rather than bolting it on afterwards. Buying as a VAT-registered business? Enter your VAT number and the reverse charge applies instead.
Must I be living in the UK to host a site with you?
No. We are a UK company — Fairdeal Renovations Limited, registered in England and Wales under number 15026869, which you can verify on the public Companies House register — but there is no residency or business-registration requirement to buy hosting from us. Customers in France order exactly as a UK customer does.
What if it turns out not to suit me?
Every hosting plan comes with 30 days to change your mind. Reseller plans give you 7 days. That window exists so you can push a live site onto the platform and time it against your own visitors, instead of taking our numbers on faith. Doesn't suit you? Claim your money back. Domains are the one thing we can't refund, since the registry bills us the second a name is registered.
